What is counselling?

Counselling is a talking therapy allowing people to explore their feelings through a non-judgmental, supportive relationship within a safe confidential space. This can allow the challenges of life to be worked through and help you explore and understand why you may be feeling the way you do.

How can counselling help?

 

We all see the world through a different lens, based on our life experiences, currently and in the past. Understanding how and why impacts on our wellbeing, our relationships and our daily lives and can help with deeper understanding of ourselves and others.

 

We will all experience stress and can feel anxious at times but sometimes specific issues can cause huge amounts of stress and anxiety. Talking about these in a safe space can allow for exploration and understanding and help manage these challenging emotions.

 

Counselling can provide a listening ear that is impartial, allowing supported reflection to look at your worries and concerns and help you see a way through.
